Typeform is a team of over 200 people representing 30 countries. We have offices in Barcelona, Spain and in San Francisco, United States.

About the Role

In People Operations, we treat humans not as resources but, well—humans. 

Our product, Typeform, does the same. We’re helping thousands of people to get closer to their audience—by making data collection more conversational.  

We recruit, hire, and onboard people who share our values. But we don’t stop once you memorize the door entry code. We support typeformers to work effectively in their teams, and collaborate across the rest of the company. 

That’s where you come in. We’re looking for an HR Specialist or People Operations Specialist, as we like to call it, to help inspire our staff to bring their absolute best to Typeform’s mission.

Here’s what you’ll do:

    • Manage our payroll process and make sure people get paid on time 🤑
    • Help people get the most out of their perks—the learning budget, healthcare, gym membership, our employee reward system, and more
    • Guide people through our compensation offer
    • Make things clear when it comes to internal policies and legal obligations
    • Be the go-to person for labour law and payroll questions
    • Manage internal HR systems—and help implement new ones—to make sure the data and processes are as effective and accurate as possible
    • Take care of the admin side of onboarding and offboarding and ensure an amazing employee experience
    • Be the point of contact with our labour advisors

About you

Here’s what we’re after:

  • You’re fluent in English and Spanish and are eager to work in a multicultural, international environment. You’ve got top-notch communication skills.
  • You have previous experience in a similar role: HR ops, Payroll Specialist, HR generalist, HR coordinator, HR manager, HR Specialist, etc.
  • You have a good knowledge of Spanish employment law and experience applying it. 
  • You've managed company payrolls and have good payroll processes knowledge
  • You're experienced in implementing employment-related policies and procedures
  • You have experience managing HRIS systems (set up, customising features, reporting, etc.)
  • Experience managing onboarding and offboarding 
  • You're constantly thinking of bringing improvements to the process, you're open to change and are flexible (you're not a prisoner of your own ideas!)
  • You’re passionate about people operations and processes.
  • You have a service mindset. You love dealing with questions and requests from candidates and employees
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and great at prioritizing.
  • You jump at the chance to tackle problems.  
  • You build strong relationships with providers and stakeholders.

And for some added bonus points: 

  • Familiarity and experience with US employment law (California or other)
  • Experience in a start-up environment where priorities and sense of urgency can change continuously 
  • You have a strong data mindset and enjoy analysing data
  • Experience in HR Analytics - setting up HR data dashboards and reporting 
  • OKR knowledge and experience
