Start by clarifying your objectives. What are you trying to learn more about, or improve on? Perhaps you’re doing something new or different, and want to find out what your participants think.

Once you’re clear on what you want to gain from the survey, write questions specific to your goals. Typeform’s online surveys are completely customizable, so you can create them to suit your needs, no matter how specific.

As well as the obvious “what did you think?” make sure you include questions specific to your approach and course structure. Ask about the pre-training expectations and how they matched up—this will help improve your messaging and communications.

It’s also worth asking about the course content and the instructors to make sure you’re giving quality training. A range of questions can help keep people engaged and eager to give more in-depth responses. Use open-ended questions and free-text boxes to collect the detail, and star ratings or sliding scales for data you can compare across all feedback survey responses.
