Research Flow
Optional Features
The Research Flow feature offers the ability to create dynamic, conversational, multi-modal interviews within a form, by using Client’s own panellist or by sourcing panellists from third-parties, as explained more in detail at the bottom of this page.
This feature has been designed to act as an expert in-house research agent, trained on the research goals informed by the Client and project context --understanding text, voice, and video responses from input provided as part of a form-- with minimal setup. Research Flow feature is fully subject to the Optional Features terms and conditions (www.typeform.com/optionalfeatures).
Each interaction (i.e. each answer provided by a respondent in a form) will be considered as a response submitted by Client’s respondent. All information collected will be shared with AI tools in order to:
a. generate outputs, i.e. follow-up questions that will be asked as the respondent interacts with the form; being those follow-up questions tailored to respondents’ past interactions and Client’s research goals; and
b. obtain better analytics on collected information, including by applying Qualitative Insights to enhance the insights provided to Client.
Research Flow is limited to 10,000 responses per month, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Keep in mind that responses to Client’s form provided by respondents will be collected and stored as the form is answered by the respondent. We reserve the right to apply charges and usage restrictions for the usage of this feature at any time, upon reasonable prior notice.
Research Flow feature is not intended to be used with health information or other sensitive information, including data belonging to minors or other protected collectives. Client agrees to not involve these categories of data, and accepts and takes responsibility for any associated risks and liabilities accordingly.
As mentioned at the beginning of this page, Research Flow can be used in connection with Client’s own panels or with panels provided by third-party, namely:
- Own panels: Client may decide to bring their own panels among the Client’s contacts. To do so, Client will need to create the form it intends to use for a specific cohort, and then share it with the panel Client intends to interview. Own panels may benefit from incentive management programs (if available).
- Third-party panels: as a way to obtain a more diverse panel, the Client may decide to source panels from other companies instead of using its own customer base or contacts. Research Flow offers the possibility of integrating the Services with the offerings by Prolific Academic Ltd (“Prolific”) and by User Interviews, Inc. ("UI") to get access to their respective pool of panels.
Client will be requested to create the form it intends to use to carry out the research and, instead of sharing the panel with its own customers or contacts, Client will be prompted to provide information on the population it intends to survey so that the vendors supporting this feature can put together the cohort requested by the Client. For panels sourced externally, Client shall not include questions requesting for panellists’ personal information, and Client accepts and takes responsibility for any associated risks and liabilities accordingly.
Neither Prolific nor UI will have access to the responses submitted by respondents to Client’s form, but will tailor the audience of addressees of a form based on the parameters Client chose when setting the form up. If Client chooses to use any of the third party offerings described above, Client will be entering into separate end user agreements with Prolific and UI. Client’s use of those services will be governed by their respective terms, available at the following links: prolific; and user interviews.
