How to identify your respondents

Would you like to know who responded to your typeform?

Even typeforms cannot guess names or email addresses! Typeforms are anonymous by default, so in order to identify your respondents please follow either one of the solutions we offer:

  1. You can simply ask for the name, email address or other identification of the respondent directly in your typeform.
  2. If you already have your respondent’s information in your database you can pass the name, email, ID or all of these in a Hidden Field in the URL of the typeform. This way, the information will appear in your Results table along with answers to the questions. Not only that, you can feed this info into your Typeform and make it more personal. Please refer to the following Help Center article to learn more about this solution: Hidden Fields.
